Quick answers

These five questions come up more than any others, so here are the short versions:

1. Is shipping free? Yes, to the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, with no minimum order. Orders ship from the USA.
2. How long does delivery take? 1-3 business days to process and print, then 7-14 business days in transit.
3. Can I change a name or size after ordering? Yes, within 24 hours of placing your order, by email.
4. What if it does not fit? Return or exchange within 60 days of delivery with a free return label. Refunds are issued within 7 days of receiving your return.
5. Can you print a team name or logo? No. We print family names, nicknames and numbers with our own generic designs.

Orders

Everything about placing an order, confirming it and making changes. Every order receives a confirmation email listing each item, size, colour and the name and number on custom pieces. Read it as soon as it arrives: changes and cancellations are possible within 24 hours of ordering, as long as the order has not been dispatched.

Ordering for the whole family

You can put every family member’s jersey in one cart. Each custom jersey keeps its own name and number as a separate cart line, so it is easy to check before paying. If you are planning a large order for a reunion or a backyard league, email us your list first if you have questions about sizes.

Personalisation

Custom products have fields above the Add to cart button: Name on back, Number (0-99) and, on most jerseys, a Lettering style. The adult custom jersey also offers an optional front number for $4. A live preview shows your text on the product photo. We print exactly what you type and do not send a proof, so check every letter.

Shipping

Shipping is free to four countries: the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. Processing takes 1-3 business days and transit 7-14 business days for all four. Orders ship from the USA. Import duties for Canada, Australia and New Zealand depend on the destination country. Need an order by a date? Plan with up to 17 business days, or email us before ordering.

Returns and exchanges

You have 60 days from delivery to return or exchange any item, for any reason, as long as it is unworn and unwashed. We send a free return label even for change-of-mind returns and size exchanges. Personalised items are accepted on the same terms, and anything we got wrong is replaced or refunded at no cost.

Refunds

Refunds are issued within 7 days of receiving your return, approving a claim or confirming a cancellation, to the original payment method. There are no restocking fees and nothing is deducted for return postage. You can ask for store credit instead, and Jersey Yard store credit never expires.

Payments

Prices are in US dollars, shipping is free and Jersey Yard does not collect sales tax at checkout. The payment options available for your order are shown at checkout. We never ask for card numbers or passwords by email.

Products and sizing

Our range covers adult jerseys (S to 3XL), women’s jerseys (XS to 2XL), youth jerseys (Youth XS to XL), toddler tees (2T to 5T), baby bodysuits (Newborn to 18-24M), tees and hoodies (S to 3XL) and tailgate gear. Each product page describes the cut, the colours and the care instructions.

Caring for printed items

Wash inside out in cold water, hang or tumble dry low, never iron on the print and avoid bleach. The tumbler is hand-wash only, and the trucker hat is spot clean only.

Account and privacy

You can check out as a guest or create an account to see your past orders. We use your information only to make, deliver and support your orders. We do not sell it, and we do not use advertising trackers. Photos you send us are deleted 30 days after delivery. You can ask to see, correct or delete your information at any time by email.

Jersey Yard respects other people’s rights and protects its own designs. Rights holders can report a concern by email, and we review every complete report.

Before you order: a five-point checklist

1. Sizes: measure a shirt that fits each person and compare it with the right chart (adult, women’s, youth, toddler or baby) in the Size Guide.
2. Names: read each name in the preview letter by letter. Watch for double letters, swapped letters and hyphenated surnames.
3. Numbers: check two-digit numbers are the right way round, such as 07 rather than 70.
4. Address: include the apartment or unit number and the correct ZIP or postal code; for gifts, use the recipient’s address.
5. Date: if you need the order for a game or a birthday, allow up to 3 business days of processing and 14 business days in transit.

Planning for a game day or event

Use this as a guide when working back from a date. It uses the longest end of our estimates, so most orders arrive sooner.

Jersey words, explained

A few terms you will see on our product pages:

• Back print: the name and number printed across the back of a jersey.
• Block / Varsity outline: our two lettering styles; block letters are solid, varsity outline letters have a contrasting edge.
• Raglan sleeve: a sleeve that runs in one piece up to the collar, usually in a contrast colour, giving a sporty look and an easy shoulder fit.
• Practice jersey: a lighter, slightly shorter jersey style, like the ones teams wear for training.
• Home / Away: on our practice jersey, Home is a dark body with light letters and Away is a white body with dark letters.
• Relaxed unisex fit: a roomy cut designed for any body; women who want a closer fit usually choose a women’s style.
• Ready-made design: a jersey with fixed text such as DAD 01; nothing to type.

Common situations, step by step

Help for gift buyers

A large share of Jersey Yard orders are gifts, so a few notes for anyone buying for someone else:

• Ship straight to the recipient by entering their address as the shipping address at checkout; your billing address can be different.
• If you do not know a baby’s name yet, choose a ready-made design such as the Rookie of the Year bodysuit, or the Little Fan bib and beanie set, which needs no sizing.
• If you are unsure about an adult’s size, choose the one that matches a T-shirt they wear often. The recipient can exchange it free within 60 days.
• For a family set where you know everyone’s sizes, use the same family name with a different number for each person.

When a gift recipient needs a return or exchange, they can email us with the buyer’s name and the order number if they have it, and we will take it from there. Refunds for gifts go back to the original payment method, so many gift recipients choose an exchange or store credit, which never expires.
