Jersey Yard is an online store for football families. We sell football jerseys, game-day tees and hoodies, and tailgate gear, and we put the thing that matters most on the back: your family name and a number that means something to you. Not a team you have to share with millions of other fans, not a player who might be traded next season, but the people standing next to you at the grill.

The name says what we are about. A yard is a unit on the football field, the ten yards you need for a first down, the fifty-yard line in the middle of everything. A yard is also the patch of grass behind the house where kids learn to throw a spiral and parents pretend to be quarterbacks. Jersey Yard lives in both places.

What we sell

Our range is built so that a whole family can dress for game day from one store, in matching designs and sizes for every age:

• Adult name & number jerseys in relaxed unisex cuts, sizes S to 3XL, either with your own name and number or with ready-made designs such as DAD 01 and TAILGATE CAPTAIN.
• Women’s & mom jerseys with women’s cuts: a fitted V-neck, an oversized mesh style, a lace-up neckline and a long-sleeve jersey tee, sizes XS to 2XL.
• Youth & kids jerseys in youth sizes XS to XL, including a custom name jersey, sibling jerseys and a flag football practice style.
• Baby & toddler jersey bodysuits from newborn to 18-24 months, toddler jersey tees from 2T to 5T, and a bib and beanie gift set.
• Game day tees & hoodies with our own yard-line and lace designs, for the people who would rather not wear a jersey.
• Tailgate & fan gear: a family-name stadium blanket, an insulated tumbler, a trucker hat, a pillow cover and a garden flag.

Everything you see is printed for your order. We do not keep shelves of finished jerseys waiting to be sold; when you order, your item is printed, packed and sent. That is what lets us offer so many sizes and colours, and why a custom jersey with your name costs no more to make than a ready-made one.

Why family names instead of team names

We get asked this a lot, so here is the honest answer. Team names, college names, league marks and players’ names belong to the organisations and people who own them, and only licensed sellers may use them. Jersey Yard is not licensed by any team, league or college, and we do not pretend to be. So we do not print those names or logos, and we never will.

What we can do, and what we think is better anyway, is put your name on the back. A jersey that says your surname and the year your family started, or your daughter’s first name and her age, belongs to you in a way no replica can. It works for every team you cheer for, every season, and every backyard game, and nobody else in the stadium has the same one.

Our designs are our own: yard lines, hash marks, footballs, laces and simple words about the people wearing them. You can read more in our Intellectual Property Policy.

How the name and number works

On every custom product, you will find a few fields above the Add to cart button:

1. Name on back: type the name in capitals or lower case; we print it in capitals. Up to 12 letters on adult and women’s jerseys, 10 on youth and baby pieces, 14 on the stadium blanket.
2. Number: any number from 0 to 99.
3. Lettering style: block letters or a varsity outline, on the jerseys that offer it.
4. Front number: on the adult custom jersey, you can tick a box to repeat the number on the chest for $4. Leave it empty and the price does not change.

A preview on the product photo shows your text as you type. We print exactly what you enter, and there is no proof step before production, so please read the name letter by letter before you order. If you spot a mistake afterwards, you have 24 hours to change it.

Built for the whole family

A lot of our customers are not buying one jersey. They are buying four or five: one for each parent, one for each child, sometimes one for the grandparents and a bodysuit for the newest arrival. That is why every collection uses the same visual language, so a family set looks like it belongs together even when everybody is in a different cut and size.

Our homepage has a section called “Game day for the whole family” that walks through it in four steps: dad, mom, kid, baby. Pick one family name, give everybody their own number, and choose the cut that suits each person. The Size Guide explains how sizing works across adult, women’s, youth, toddler and baby ranges, which is the part most families find tricky.

What we will not do

Trust matters more than a quick sale, so there are a few things you will never see from us:

• No fake reviews, star ratings or customer counts. When we have real reviews from real buyers, they will appear on the product pages.
• No countdown timers, “only 2 left” messages or crossed-out prices that were never charged.
• No team, league, college or player names or logos.
• No claims about where items are made beyond the plain fact that orders ship from the USA.
• No social media accounts pretending to be us; we only contact customers from support@jerseyyard.shop.

Jersey Yard is an online store with its business address at 158 Bar Harbor Rd, Freehold, NJ 07728, US. We keep things simple: one store, one support inbox and one set of commitments for every customer. If something is not right with your order, we would much rather hear about it and fix it than have you put up with it.

How to reach us

Support is by email at support@jerseyyard.shop. We reply within 24 hours on business days. Please include your order number if you have one. The Contact Us page explains what to include for different questions, and the Help Center collects every policy and guide in one place.

Custom or ready-made?

Not every jersey in the store is personalised, and that is deliberate. About a sixth of our range is custom, where you type the name and number yourself. The rest are ready-made designs and other game-day products. Here is how to choose:

• Choose custom when you want the family name on the back, a specific number, or a matching set where everyone has a different number. Custom pieces are available for adults, women, youth, babies and as a stadium blanket.
• Choose ready-made when you are buying a quick gift, do not know the name yet (a baby shower, for example), or want a role on the back like DAD 01, MOM 01, PAPA 01, ROOKIE 00 or BIG BROTHER.
• Choose tees, hoodies or tailgate gear for the people who want to join in without wearing a jersey, or to add something to a jersey gift.

Ideas for numbers

The number is the part people think about longest. A few ideas our designs are built around:

• A child’s age this season, so next year’s jersey is a new number.
• The year the family started, written as two digits: 09, 14, 21.
• A birthday day of the month.
• The order of the kids: 01 for the oldest, 02 for the next, and so on.
• 00 for the newest arrival, still waiting to pick a number.

Any number from 0 to 99 is fine. Numbers on their own are free for everyone to use.

Gifts that fit

Many orders are gifts: a jersey for a grandfather, a bodysuit for a new baby, a stadium blanket for a couple who host every game. To make gifting easier, you can ship to a different address from your billing address, and returns and exchanges are free for 60 days if a size is wrong. If a gift needs to arrive by a date, plan with the longest estimate: 3 business days of processing plus 14 business days in transit.

Gift ideas by person

• For a new dad: the DAD 01 jersey with a matching ROOKIE OF THE YEAR bodysuit for the baby.
• For a grandfather: the PAPA 01 raglan jersey, and a youth jersey for each grandchild.
• For the tailgate host: the family-name stadium blanket and a TAILGATE CAPTAIN jersey.
• For a sports mom: the custom women’s V-neck with her family name, or the oversized GAME DAY jersey.
• For siblings: the Sibling Squad youth jerseys, one title each.

Looking after your jersey

A printed jersey lasts longest when it is washed gently. Turn it inside out, wash in cold water with similar colours, and hang it to dry or tumble dry on low. Do not iron directly on the name and number, and avoid bleach. Each product page includes its own care notes, and the blanket, tumbler and hat have slightly different instructions.

Sizing across the family

Adult jerseys are unisex and relaxed; women’s jerseys follow a women’s cut; youth, toddler and baby sizes each have their own chart. When a family orders together, the most common surprise is that a teenager has moved from youth XL into adult S or M. If you are unsure, measure a T-shirt that fits each person well and compare it with the charts in the Size Guide before ordering.

Outside the United States

We ship free to Canada, Australia and New Zealand as well as the United States. Prices are in US dollars, orders ship from the USA, and international parcels take the same 7-14 business days in transit. Import duties, where they apply, depend on the destination country. Returns from these countries are free too, with the same 60-day window.
